Centurions Hope Chapel and the Go Bold Network wish you a Blessed Thanksgiving!
But thanks be to God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
To all our Church Family at Centurions Hope Chapel, subscribers to the Go Bold Network, and friends, Tami and I wish you a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving!
Thank you to all our subscribers at the Go Bold Network for being a part of our ministry. God has blessed our work beyond belief this year. As many of you know, the Lord placed it on my heart last July to start a new ministry at Centurions Hope Chapel in Lawton, Oklahoma. Leaving our old church was a tough decision, and we had to take a leap of faith, but Tami and I truly felt this was God’s calling!
We sincerely appreciate your support in listening to our sermons and podcasts. As a reminder, our free subscriptions offer the same benefits as our paid subscriptions. The difference is that 100% of all paid subscriptions go directly to our ministry at Centurions Hope Chapel. This year, all funds from paid subscriptions went directly to the Embrace Hope homeless shelter in Lawton, Oklahoma! Please share our free Substack subscription with friends and family! We are honored to share the Gospel and participate in your faith journey! To our paid subscribers, thank you—You're making a difference!
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, remember that thankfulness is a fundamental quality of every Christian's heart. When we struggle to feel thankful, it often indicates something is off since an attitude of gratitude is woven into our spiritual DNA. You might be surprised to learn that King Jesus exemplifies thankfulness.
During His time on Earth, Jesus consistently expressed gratitude to the Father. Furthermore, the apostles conveyed their thanks in their letters, even during their darkest days and challenges. As believers, thankfulness is inherent to who we are; we cannot deny it. While we may occasionally struggle to act thankful, that inner gratitude will ultimately surface. It’s impossible to suppress the Spirit of God within us; we always find something to be grateful for.
How can we follow Christ's example of giving thanks? When faced with trials, big or small, take a moment to express appreciation for all the blessings from the past and those yet to come. During the Thanksgiving season and the upcoming Christmas holidays, I encourage you to pause regularly and express your gratitude for the noticeable blessings in your life and the more profound spiritual gifts, just as Jesus did.
Reflect on the ways Jesus showed gratitude. Embrace his outlook. Foster a spirit of thankfulness that aligns with Christ's mind, not just your limited view. Accept the presence of Jesus’ kingdom, and you will see a Bold difference in your life!
